The alleged 2017 Ford Fusion has been spied frolicking on the streets of Dearborn, Michigan. Ford has not made any official announcements yet; but what the car blogging site, Car and Driver, had spied on brought out the buzz. The mid-size family sedan is more likely to receive the ST badge.
Exterior
Beneath the disguise, the front fascia seemed to feature a pair of stream-lined head and driving lamps and modified front grille. It seems that the hood has been revised to accommodate the new design scheme. We can also see (most probably) 19-inch, ten-spoke black wheels while the rear you can see the clear reverse-light portion of the narrowed taillamps. Other than those, Fusion seemed to still bear the semblance from the 2016 model and this includes the doors, roofline and character lines.
Interior
The 2017 Fusion’s cabin may still have the features of its predecessor but should have few upgrades such as special instrument cluster, Recaro sports seats and a sportier steering wheel. We can also expect technology modifications since we’re talking about an ST here.
Drivetrain
Word has it that this Fusion will house 2.7L EcoBoost V6 that can summon no more than 300 horsepower and roughly 310 pound-foot of torque. Additionally, it may sprint from mere nothing zero to sixty miles per hour in just 5 seconds; and achieve top speed of 155 mph. But then again, these are all speculations until the brand officially launches the 2017 Fusion.
