Acura has designed its 2015 TLX to compete against the likes of BMW 3-Series, BMW 4-Series Grand Coupe, Mercedes C-class and Audi A4 under the division of entry-luxury cars. However, the luxury brand of the Japanese carmaker Honda sets a different level of vision.
Surmise to say, it aimed for the 2015 Acura TLX to challenge Cadillac ATS, Nissan GT-R and Ferrari 458 Italias in the Pirelli World Challenge. Yet somehow, Honda’s pride lacked the luster and guts to be appraised in the likes the aforementioned sedan racers. What really happened that made this pride to fall out of its supposed glory?
TLX’s Sleeping Power
Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive is one of the main features of the current TXL. It brings out the best handling for tough bends but that’s all into it. It fails to boost the power that should be present in the race tracks and let the competitors eat the dust. Though the weight of TLX has improved, the 60% of the 3763 pounds rests on the front axle.
Acura may also note the all-season tires from Goodyear which are not very into sports, mind you. This, however, may be good for the ride on the roads. The new chassis is found to be solid and competent enough to impress; while the electric power steering bears enough weight if not in feedback.
Design and Good Features
TLX may not have the sporty upholstered seats but it surely made efforts for gadgets, amenities and luxury. At the console seats the button responsible for the four driving modes: Econ, Normal, Sport and Sport + (Plus). These adjust the assist from the electric power-steering, transmission shift points, throttle sensitivity and the AWD programming.
Honestly, Acura is well suited to give comfort and luxury for the posh commuters. As for the race tracks, why not give it more time and enhancements to very well compete next time?
