Roberto Baggio is a former Italian Professional Football Player who was born on February 18, 1967 in Caldogno, Italy. Being one of the greatest football players of all time, he is a technically gifted and creative playmaker aside from being a set piece specialist. He won the Ballon d’Or and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1993. He was also chosen in FIFA World Cup Dream Team in 2002 and was named by Pele as one of the greatest living players in FIFA 100.
Being the fourth highest goal scorer for the Italian National Team, Baggio played for Italy in 56 matches and had scored 27 goals. He is the only Italian Player to score in three World Cups and the record holder for most goals in World Cup Tournaments for Italy, along with Paolo Rossi and Christian Vieri. In 2002, he became the first Italian over fifty years of age to score 300 goals and is the fourth highest Italian scorer with 318 goals in all competitions.
