Most of us usually don’t pay attention when it comes to naming our wireless networks. Most of us, including some IT Experts only put a common name such as their company or business name while others just put out their family name and the rest is history. However, most of us didn’t know that just like passwords, our network name must be carefully thought of.
Why do we have to think of our Wireless Network’s name, by the way? The truth is, most internet security experts say that the Wireless Network Name can also affect the overall security of the wireless network itself. If it isn’t that obvious, hackers can now compute the password by using the rainbow tables in order to crack the password faster. Just by knowing the network name, the hacker can use various password-cracking devices then compare it to the rainbow table and maybe, after a few days, he or she can guess the password. Most of you will think that it sounds way ridiculous but, it’s true.
Naming your Wireless Network
Most routers have already provided a default network name. However, this is the default name when it comes to a certain wireless router model, if not all. Setting up your network by giving a different name will definitely make much difference.
