There is very uncomfortable feeling when there is water in your ears, and when it does not go out then it tends to become annoying as well. If the water is not taken out or drained out then it might cause ear infection. Try these following steps to remove water from the ears.
ü Make sure that there is water in your ears : This can be easily checked by tapping your temple with your wrist. This will make you feel uneasy if water is stagnant in your ears.
ü Drain the ear: Wipe your outer ear slowly and gently with a soft towel or cloth, then tilt your head to one side to help the water drain out of your ear canal.[1] To find the right position, move your head back and forth as you tilt it. It may even help to tug on the earlobe in order to open the canal wider. An alternate method is to stand on one foot and tilt your head so the offending ear faces the ground. Hop on one foot until the water drains out. Another method is to lie down on your side with the ear facing down. Gravity may cause the ear to drain naturally. Pretend you are gnawing on some food to move the jawbones around your ears. Tilt your head to the side that doesn’t have water in it, then quickly tilt your head to the other side.
ü Blow dry the ear: Use a hair dryer and blow dry your ear. Blow the warm air across the opening of your ear instead of into it.
ü Tilt your head on the opposite side keep the affected ear up. Drop few drops of water in the infected ear and then tilt your head towards the affected ear, the water will come out.
