Recently, ZTE launched its newest member in the Blade family—ZTE Blade A1. The price of this model will get your heart skipping but not in a bad way. The fingerprint sensor-endowed, 8-core handset running in Android Lollipop is available in mere CNY 599 or roughly $93. Just for the record, it is the cheapest smartphone out there to sport fingerprint sensor for instant access and sturdier protective layer. Considering the specs as indicated below, this is a perfect bargain as a back-up handset to your primary smartphone.
Outwardly, A1 bears a bit semblance to iPhone 5c and sports a glossy plastic body. The fingerprint scanner was placed underneath the primary camera, something deemed customary by most handsets with this feature. According to the reports, A1’s fingerprint sensor has the ability to unlock the phone in about three-tenths of a second. Meanwhile, the Chinese company provided various color options which include Space Grey, Smart White, Cool Blue, Dream Green and Vibrant Yellow.
Blade A1 should be available later this month through JD.com that is now open for Chinese residents who wants to make reservations. There’s no confirmation yet whether A1 would be available outside China, but considering the global availability of most Blade series, odds are this one’s meant to be.
