Xiomi has timely set its announcement of their newest affordable device on March 31st which is also their 5th anniversary. Even though the affordable set, which is priced around $96 or 599 yuan, falls under the category of entry-level smartphones, its specifications say otherwise.
Redmi 2A sports toned-down qualities of Redmi 2. Despite the cheap pricing, you can get a quadcore clocking at 1.5GHz in Leadcore L1860C chipset. Enhancing the device’s performance is a 1GB of RAM and an ARM Mali GPU of T628MP2. Leadcore also supports LTE connectivity and can accommodate dual SIM.
Display screen sports a decent-enough 4.7-inch with 720p resolution. Other primary features include a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 8-megapixeal rear-facing and 2,200mAh juicer which can be refilled through fast-charging. It is also equipped with the 8GB native storage and can be expandable up to 32GB through the microSD slot, something that has become a signature of Chinese mobile phone brands.
Regular pricing is 599 yuan (roughly USD 96) but it will be available for a mere 499 (roughly USD 80) on April. Redmi 2A is said to be available in all retail stores that distributes the label.
