After the event of Apple wherein the company launched their latest products, Google makes preparation for the unveiling of the Nexus smartphone. So mark your calendars on the 29th of this month (September) for the successor of LG Nexus 5 and a Huawei manufactured phablet.
Just last September 9, a leak coming from LG exposed images of the upcoming Nexus 5 with the project codenamed as Project N3. As the pictures of the white model revealed, the fingerprint sensor is till located right under the rear snapper while the LED flash and laser autofocus sandwiches the snapper.
Alongside the images, rumored specs have also surfaced allowing us to have the following details:
- Display : 5.2” IPS LCD, 1080p resolution
- OS : Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- Chipset/ CPU : Snapdragon 808, Hexacore processor
- Cameras : 12.3MP primary, 5MP front
- RAM : 2GB
- Storage : 32/ 64GB
- Battery : 2700 mAh
The board—of course— will support the latest 4G LTE Cat.6 connectivity, allowing a maximum download speed of 300 Mbps and 50Mbps on uploads.
As for the pricing, it is speculated that the LG Nexus 5 will be at least $50 more expensive than its predecessor, the Nexus 5 (2nd Gen). That makes the price somewhere $399 but with mightier specs. It might also come in black, white and light blue coating, plastic built and USB Type C port.
Don’t get too excited yet as these are all unconfirmed details until Google announces the two Nexus device on the 29th. For the meantime, just put a little grain of salt to avoid the jinx before the big day.
