It sure seems weird that LG’s newest smartphone, the G6, isn’t striving to become one of the top smartphones in the high-end category. Instead, the company’s aim is to make the smartphone appealing when it comes to the public’s perspective. Needless to say, it had its two obvious features namely; its display and cameras are both upgraded for improved look and performance. However, the experts also came to notice that its chipset is one level lower than the latest. It sure sounds like the company’s minimizing their expenses. But knowing LG, they sure have a good reason for it, along with the fact that their smartphone’s performance isn’t compromised.
Bigger Display
The LG G5 is well-known for its single-handed usability, though some pray that it should definitely have a bigger screen display. This problem was fixed in LG G6, which features a 2:1 screen aspect ratio. This means that it still has the same body and dimensions with the G5 but having a wider screen. This feature became available without compromising the existing smartphone build standards. The IPS LCD screen also has an IP68 rating, which means that it can stay submerged (not in seawater, though) with a depth of at least 15 meters for up to thirty minutes. It is noticeable that the smartphone’s dust protection is no joke, either. And most of all, the G6’s display maximum brightness is at least twenty to thirty percent brighter than the G5’s maximum brightness.
Improved Camera
Unlike in G5, the primary cameras (yes, they are still Dual) in G6 aren’t bulging out, which is a noticeable improvement. Compared to G5, the normal camera’s aperture is wider than the previous one. The installed camera app is also redesigned in order to make better use of it.
Results
Experts say that the results are somewhat impressive, though further tests must be done in order to confirm all of these. In addition to that, G6’s performance is great despite just having a Qualcomm 821 chipset under its hood.
