Finalizing the CES 2015 conference is none other than Kodak. Now, we’ve known Kodak as a camera manufacturer but the company has since ventured to different devices and has unveiled their smartphone—mind you, simply a smartphone and not a cam- phone. Kodak IM5 is expected to start off within European boundaries at least until the end of March. From then on, it shall be made available to the other parts of the globe. Currently, it costs €229 (roughly 269 bucks). It is expected to bear the US price tag of $249, less the contract of course.
Unfortunately, Kodak failed to meet competition with other gigantic mobile makers, specification-wise. Still, Kodak IM5 is targeted for the mid-rangers and also comes in with “unique image management software” feature—significantly Kodak!
Kodak IM5 comes with a MediaTek chipset with 1.7GHz Octa-core CPU, 1GB RAM, Kitkat 4.4 operating system (with a promise of a Lollipop update) and 8GB internal storage. It highlights is a mere 5-inch HD screen display with 1080ppi density. Surmise to say, this is really a mid-ranger smartphone we are talking about! Cameras are impressive with their 13mega-pixel and 5mega-pixel rear and front facers, respectively. These snappers are compatible with home printers and are partnered with photo software for social media perfect snaps. Since we are talking about Kodak here, the manufacturer’s fans are surely ready for the onslaught.
