Yesterday, Huawei officially announced its latest chieftain for 2015, the Mate S. Yes, folks, there’s no Ascend name for this one. Moreover, the Chinese brand toned down the qualities of its predecessor.
We may be expecting a lesser chieftain here but Mate S has its own great qualities. For one, it is splash resistant. Two, it beat Apple by bringing us the first mainstream smartphone with Force Touch technology. (Apple is scheduled to launch its pressure sensitive iPhone 6s on September 9.) The Eastern titan dropped the bomb—voila! — Mate S is right under the limelight before the much anticipated Apple handset. Anyway, Apple will survive and shine as it always had so there’s no need to worry.
