How Do You Turn Off the Capacitive Keys Backlighting in Your Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge?

You may find yourself pretty irked when your sleep is interrupted with the light coming from the backlighting of your smartphone device.  More so when you can’t do anything to adjust the light intensity.  This may be the case for your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge smartphone.

With Galaxy S5, the backlight is adjusted through the display setting options but somehow, the Korean mobile maker missed this one detail in S6 and S6 Edge. It has been reduced to the option of having the Power Saving mode turned on and off.  Having said that, we are going to bring you the tutorial for this option.

Directions

  1. Head immediately to the Setting menu and look for the Battery.
  2. Tap on the Battery right away.
  3. Choose Power Saving Mode by tapping on the switch that will activate the mode. Power Saving Mode will lower the screen brightness of your smartphone and will apparently save up battery power. It will also mean that your device’s performance is reduced since some features will be deactivated or will use certain percentage of their total capacity.

This might be a little frustrating considering that it may mean you turning off the Power Saving Mode the next morning to enhance your smartphone’s performance.  However, for the meantime this is the best step to avoid glaring to the backlights every night.  Until Samsung figures out what to do with S6 and S6 Edge, accustom yourself in forming this habit or you can also put away your phone before you sleep.
