Undeniably, Xiomi Redmi 1s has taken a foothold and draw up standards for others to contest. Now, it seems that Asus has put on challenge by releasing the $130 Pegasus X002 model. So how does the freshly launched Pegasus compete with the giant Redmi 1s?
Pegasus is powered by the 64 bit 1.5 GHz quadcore MT6732 SoC by MediaTek and Android 4.4 Kitkat , running in 2GB RAM. Compared to the 1GB RAM of Redmi 1s speed performance, it’s crystal clear that Pegasus nailed it. It has been made compelling by its mammoth display of 5-inch with 720×1280 pixel resolution. Against the 8MP and 1.5MP camera specification of Redmi 1s, surely Pegasus holds more tangible promise for selfie enthusiasts at 8MP primary snapper and 5MP front. For storage and power respectively, Pegasus has readied an internal capacity of 16GB to be expandable up to 64GB via microSD and 2500mAh detachable battery.
Currently (as of December 2014), China is accepting preorders but details for international release is yet to be determined in the near future. Just in case that it shall be released in the international market, it begins early by next year (2015).
