It’s Halloween and pumpkins are in! It’s not a secret that pumpkins seem to abound mushroom-like during Halloween, thus the use of jack-o’ lanterns. So how do we use the pumpkin flesh that we get out of those shells? There’s no need for not-so-personalized overrated candies for the kids who will go trick-or-treat. Give them something they wouldn’t miss the next time they knock on your door next Halloween. Treat them with sumptuous pumpkin bread! Here’s what you are going to do:
Prepare the following ingredients for our pumpkin bread:
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. nutmeg
- ¼ tsp. cloves
- ¼ tsp. ginger
- ½ cup softened butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 pieces eggs
- ¾ cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Prepare materials as well
- 9×5 inch loaf pan
- 2 Big bowls
- Electric mixer
- Decorative wrappers
Commence cooking!
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 180°C) and grease your 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a big mixing bowl, put together the dry ingredients and spices such as flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, garlic cloves and ginger.
- In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, vanilla and butter.
- Bring in your electric mixer and mix in the flour mixture in a low speed. Next, pour in the pumpkin mixture into the flour mix and continue mixing it.
- Transfer batter into the loaf pan and put into the preheated oven. Bake for an hour.
- Let it cool a little and prepare your pumpkin bread into desired cuts. You can wrap them up for the kids who go trick-o-treat.
