Just less than a week ago, Ford has launched their newest Endeavour in India. The said SUV, which was first launched in India thirteen years ago, has gone a very long and wide-range overhaul and remodeling, especially in terms of mechanisms and aesthetics. This brand-new Endeavour is based primarily on the Ford Everest concept that was launched in Sydney, Australia three years ago. Apart from its alloy wheels, the said SUV has carried out the Everest’s overall design concept.
Under the Hood
It is noticeable that the Endeavour comes with two different diesel engines: the first one being a 2.2-liter four-cylinder while the other one is a 3.2-liter five-cylinder. The 2.2-liter comes in either 6-speed manual or automatic, while only 6-speed automatic is the only choice for the 3.2-liter. Both engines’ drivetrains, however, can either be a 4-wheeler, rear-wheeler or all-wheeler, depending on their offer. The 2.2-liter runs at 156-hp and 284 lb-ft torque while the 3.2-liter runs at 194-hp and 347 lb-ft torque.
Interior
It is noticeable that the SUV’s interior is inspired by Ford’s F-150 pickup truck. There are leather seats and a leather-stitched dashboard, along with an eight-inch touchscreen display for Infotainment. The cabin is quite spacious and features Ford’s SYNC2 Multimedia System. Satellite navigation, electrically-folding rear seats and an electric tail gate are also included. Other features include Active Park Assist, Hill Descent, Electronic Hill Descent, Electronic Stability Control and more.
