Most of us didn’t know that about 60 percent of Buick’s sales come from their two crossover cars, the three-row Enclave and the newer Encore. And now, the company expects that their sales will definitely get higher now that they’re entering their third one, the Envision, as their latest entry.
Under the Hood
As per record, the only available engine for this crossover is the company’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with automatic stop-start. This engine runs at 252-horsepower, 260 lb-ft torque and 6-speed automatic transmission. It is noticeable that it comes in an All-wheel drivetrain, which is quite a standard for present crossovers.
Exterior
The crossover’s styling is somehow pleasing, though quite Nissan-like due to its rounded arch over its front wheels. Along with it comes LED Daytime running lamps and tail lamps, 19-inch wheels, hood-mounted vents and the company’s signature waterfall grille with active shutters.
Interior
The crossover’s interior is somehow closely-related to that of Buick LaCrosse, a sweeping dashboard rendered in matte-gray plastic and shiny wood-grain trim, undoubtedly one of GM’s most successful designs so far. The front seats are comfortable, and the 8.0-inch touchscreen and secondary controls will seem familiar, especially if you have been inside a GM product just recently. Being Buick, noise cancellation in Envision’s standard-equipment roster along with dual-power seats, front and outboard seat heaters, Bose audio, heated steering wheel, climate control and power lift gate features are also noticeable.
