After a few weeks of being approved by TENAA, the entry-level Samsung Galaxy J3 is now listed on Sammie’s Chinese website as an official member of the J-family. Note that the handset is a China Telecom variant but bears great resemblance to the FCC-approved SM-J3109. There’s no word yet if the handset will also grace the shelves of the international market except for India wherein promotion for J3 is now going on.
The greatest aspect of J3 is its 4G LTE support for connectivity. It also sports a decent 5-inch super AMOLED screen with 294 pixel density. However, multi-tasking can be challenging here since it merely houses a 1.5GB of RAM. Even the native storage is limited to 8GB only but can be expanded for up to 128GB via microSD slot. For sure, China won’t be receiving the dual SIM flavor but India is expecting it.
As for the software, Samsung pre-installed Milk Music app and a Smart Manager tool that doubles as virus scanner and battery monitor.
For now, Samsung is not yet releasing the pricing and release details of J3. We will have to wait for a couple of days but it surely won’t take for long.
