The 2016 Ford Explorer Sport may not occupy the first seat under the three-row midsize SUV segment but it offers enticing premium driving experience for adventurers out there. It sports almost the same features from its predecessors but received upgrades nevertheless.
Starting Off Inside
Ford bestowed Explorer Sport with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine that combines two technologies: direct injection and turbo-charging. In effect, it delivers a V8 performance but still has the fuel economy of a V6. The 6-speed manual auto transmission is also partnered with an Intelligent 4WD that has the ability to optimize powertrain and braking system. The four-wheel-drive system also features the Hill Descent Control which greatly helps the driver to control and maintain constant speed during a downhill descent.
Neat Exhaust and Sporty Wheels
The 20-inch aluminum wheels are styled to bring the sporty look of Ford Explorer up to a higher notch as they shows off painted sockets and machine face. Additionally, a fascia-integrated exhaust with dual tips comes standard on Sport models, bringing a much neater lower-rear portion of the SUV.
