When Samsung S6 and S6 Edge were released earlier this month, this new breed of smartphone titans were made official. Following edge is its updated version in the body of S6 Edge+ (Plus).

Display and App Features
Derived from the ‘+’ sign added to the moniker, Edge+ obviously got bigger dimensions. Just like its older sister, it was furnished with premium materials only due for the giants of the field. It features heart rate sensor, fingerprint sensor, rapid charging via microUSB 2.0 port and built-in wireless charging. However, Sammy deemed it necessary to bring down the IR sensor found in S6 Edge.
S6 Edge+ also highlights new functionalities unavailable from Edge. Apps Edge is a new pane located in the same place as people edge. It enables the launching of any 5 pre-selected applications for multi-tasking purpose.
Under the Hood Features
Samsung’s very own Exynos renders smooth performance for Edge+. It gets four Cortex-A57 clocked at 2.1GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.5GHz, making it an Octacore handset. To help graphical performance, Sammy installed ARM Mali T760 and a whooping 4GB RAM to make app switching in lightning speed. Additionally, the chipset supports the latest 4G LTE and NFC connectivity greatly coveted by many consumers today.
