Microsoft has uncovered their budget-friendly handset with mid range specifications of Lumia 640 XL. The smartphone has been announced on Monday (March 1) alongside its lesser sister, Lumia 640 in the on-going MWC 2015 event. Although not officially categorized by its maker as a phablet, many would argue that Lumia 640 XL is one.
As seen, the greater sister sports a larger 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen with 259ppi density. Under the hood comes Snapdragon 400 clocking at 1.2GHz quadcore processor which is considerately great deal since it bears 4G LTE against €219 (or $245). It also runs in Windows Phone 8.1 that is upgradeable up to Windows 10 as Microsoft has once promised for all Windows Phone 8 devices. Features also include 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and 3000mAh battery.
Further, Lumia 640 XL comes with the brand’s signature Lumia Camera that only highlights autofocusing aspects. If you’re finding the 8GB native storage a shortage, expand memory through the microSD slot which accommodates up to 128GB of memory.
This Microsoft phablet is expected to be out in the markets world-wide by spring or April this year.
