Being Samsung’s latest budget smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro are said to solely target the Indian Mobile Market. Both smartphones are identical with their On5 and On7 predecessors which are released the previous year. The latest models are known to have an additional 1GB upgrade, which had affected both smartphones’ performance and task-handling abilities.

Featuring a five-inch 720p IPS LCD display, the Galaxy On5 Pro runs in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, which is impressive for a budget smartphone. Looking under the hood, the On5 Pro has an Exynos 3 quad-core chipset and a Mali-T720 GPU. It also has a 2GB RAM and a 16GB internal storage capacity, though some of it is already consumed by the OS itself. The good news is, you can easily expand your storage space by adding up a microSD card. However, it’s also noticeable that the oleophobic coating in display is missing due to its cost cutting reasons.
Unlike in On5 Pro, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro features a 5.5-inch 720p IPS LCD display but is also running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. Its chipset is actually a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor along with Adreno 410 as its GPU. It’s interesting to know that this one has a 2GB RAM compared to Galaxy On7’s 1GB RAM last year. Because of this, it has increased its performance, therefore letting you play some high-definition games and watching Youtube HD videos with ease. And when it comes to batteries, the On7 Pro has a 3000mAh battery compared to On5 Pro’s 2600mAh one. But just like the other budget smartphones, this one doesn’t contain an oleophobic coating in its display, either.
