About three days ago, Asus had successfully launched the world’s first-ever liquid-cooled laptop in India. More commonly known as Asus ROG GX700, the gaming laptop is said to be liquid-cooled, which is evident with a separate liquid cooling system attached on its back. And since it’s a first-ever laptop featuring such design, it’s almost as expensive as a brand-new motorcycle.
Asus ROG GX700 Successfully Launched in India at Rs. 4.12 Lakh
After announcing its existence during the IFA last year, the ROG GX700 is said to be available at request basis. Along with this one is the launch of ROG Strix GL502 laptop, which is said to have a starting price of Rs. 1.27 Lakh.
Featuring an Intel Core i7-6820HK CPU that has a clocking speed of 2.7GHz, the Aus ROG GX700 has a detachable HOS cooling module. Once attached to the laptop, it can easily increase its clock speed at 3.6GHz. Computer experts are quick to point out that the CPUs performing at such speed are known to overheat easily so a separate Hydro Overclocking System is included to make sure that the CPU doesn’t melt during the laptop operations. Needless to say, such specifications are fitting for a gaming laptop in which it was specifically designed for. It is revealed that the laptop can easily accommodate a RAM expansion of up to 64GB. On the storage side, it is said to accommodate up to 512GB of SSD RAM.
Being the state-of-the-art gaming laptop as of this time, the ROG GX700 has the Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 graphics card that has an 8GB RAM along with a 17-inch 4K UHD display. It is said that the graphics card supports Nvidia G-Sync, which enables the entire system to have a smoother and more detailed video resolution.
The reason behind the request order basis is because of the fact that the Aus ROG GX700 laptop is being offered at Rs. 4.12 Lakh price, which is considerably too expensive for a laptop. In addition to that, the laptop is said to target gamers as its primary consumer, which is a somewhat small and unstable market as of this time. However, if you’re going to look at the performance side, the specifications are somewhat good. The only question left to answer, however, is this: After finding out its high price tag, are you still willing to buy it or not?
