Appearance
Officially, Golf R is a sport compact and is a hatchback (simply translated, it has 5 doors). For the manual option, the model sheds 80 pounds, rendering it lighter than its automatic sibling. Nothing’s too fabulous about this little car but for those who appreciate the perennial and pragmatic beauty, then they will surely appreciate Golf R.
Interior
There are subtle changes inside with the major one as the center console. Noticeably Golf R lacks the functional elbow rest cover. Luckily, you can launch the vents through the rear console; and if you want full access on the bin, ratchet and armrest, all you need to do is to remove a single screw.
Performance
Golf R Manual features the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) which includes the 19-inch wheels and navigation system. The R Manual gives off more solidly than the rest of the Golf family but lacks the excitement factor.
