After HTC’s 2014 flagship, One M8 comes the next chief for this year. With the teaser poster of HTC released last week for Mobile World Congress event (that will take place in Barcelona, Spain from March 2-5, 2015) and the controversial tagline, “Utopia in Progress,” everybody’s imagination is running agog for One M9. Leaks indicated that M9 will be sporting a 20MP rear-facing snapper and an Ultra pixel front-facer. Further, the flagship will be run by an Octa-core Snapdragon 810 and HTC Sense 7 User Interface that will be working closely—most probably—with the latest Google Lollipop 5.0. It is also said that M9 features Dolby 5.1 Audio.
Sharing its limelight is a smartwatch, a HTC’s first wearable—which according to the Bloomberg tripster— linked to the fitness services of Under Armor Inc. Since the smartphone manufacturer is not confirming anything about this smartwatch leak, we might as well have to wait either for the MWC or HTC’s official poster with the visible image of the wearable.
We can remember that last year we had heard about rumors of three various wearable for the MWC 2014, however, these didn’t materialize and were further proven to be mere tittle-tattle. It was further explained that HTC scratched the plan of producing the wearable (particularly the smartwatch) due to tough competitions with the likes of Motorola, LG and Samsung. The verdict: We better wait for the official announcement of HTC this time.
